GET TO KNOW THE 8 WONDERS: CAMILA

Imagen
Hello guys! Now is my turn to tell you a bit more about myself...  I'm writing from Torrevieja, and as the wonders have said, we are in quarantine, so we must stay home . In my case,   being isolated is not that awful, since I always have things to do at home, such as cleaning, walking the dogs, cooking, shopping for food... doing my best not to eat everything... I have to admit that I'm not as organized as the rest of the wonders, so I do not have a daily routine, but I will tell you several things that keep me busy these days. This may sound a bit repetitive, but I guess everyone is doing more or less the same things 😂 I wake up around 9:30 everyday, and I walk my dogs. If it's sunny, I like to have breakfast on the porch 🌞😎🍳 Full of vitamin D. I usually do as much homework as I can in the morning (but since there is a lot to do, I always still have homework for the evening). Apart from this, I am watching a lot of films and series. Currently, ...

Good evening everyone! I'm Sara and today is my turn to show you a lil bit of how i am coping with the quarantine. Today is already the 13th day of confinement at home, in my case in Gandia, Valencia. 🙋 This past nearly two weeks have been a bit chaotic, not only because of the crazyness of people when going to Mercadona for the grocery shopping and to buy hundreds of toilet paper 🧻 (idk why) but also because of the "online classes" as my colleagues have mentioned before, but we still working hard to achieve all the tasks 👊 It is reccomended in order to do that to have a routine. In my case i do not wake up at 7am as duing normal classes but i wake up at a decent hour in order to spend the morning doing uni stuff. (you see, being responsable).                                                                   ...

I Live in Elda, Alicante with my two dogs and I am trying to follow the same schedule as if I would be attended to university(Well, I recognize that some days I wake up late🤭🤭) in order to don't stop with good habits... So, I spend almost all the morning doing university stuff, reading books, exercices, and moodle of course. After lunch, it is nap time...hahah, and then maybe an hour of Netflix...🤷‍♀️ But I also try to get my body active,so yoga and pilates are part of my daily routine. Obviously, this is not me...but it is better a picture than reality😂. I cooked this delicious chocolate cake...Spanish bizcocho!!! Good afternoon! As Noelia has said in the previous post, during this period of time, each member of the 8 Wonder is going to tell you how we are dealing with this situation and how we are spending our time at home. Well, welcome to this post, I'm Nuria! Right now I'm writing from Albacete. I have been already here for more than a week. It is said that now it is the perfect time to start old proyects that you thought you wouldn't do it because we didn't have enought time. For example, I love cooking, so everyday I help my father in order to learn new receipes, for example, this afternoon I have learnt how to make pancakes! (spoiler:  they were delicious 😋) Regarding the course, this week has been very confusing to everyone. Now we have some classes in which we contact our professor via skype, other teachers are giving us the theory in order to do some practices online. At first It was very confusing, but I tried to organise myself the best way possible. To do t...

Good afternoon everyone! We have decided that we are going to tell you about our experience studying and carrying out daily tasks from home so as you know how we are dealing with this situation. Well, it's my turn! I am Noelia, currently I am writing from Albacete, on the sixth day of quarantine confinement. Honestly, I have started to do many new things, including cooking  🥞 (Always sweets: cakes, biscuits...), exercising at home 🏋️‍♀️(trying to get abs for this summer), going back to play on PlayStation 🎮 with my brother, and sleeping a lot💤. In addition, I am also reading so much since it is necessary to be able to advance in some subjects (literature and theatre). I am not being lazy because I usually work during my productive hours: from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 18. After that, I have enough free time to do the activities mentioned above. Linguistics subject is easy to keep up to date. The good thing about this subject is that the online platform is very w...

NOTHING CAN STOP US!

As we informed in our last post, the university is closed....🤷‍♀️ the so famous  Coronavirus has stopped with our external social life. We cannot go out from our houses,we cannot have contact with our families and friends, this is going to be hard and unfortunatly there are que lot of infected people and even there are people that have passed away... We cannot control this situation but we can control what we do,so we have decided to stay home and work in our subjects. We are doing our moodle activities, checking the handbook and working in our project.  We hope this situation finishes soon 🙏, but meanwhile we stay working at home💪.

FEEDBACK!

Imagen
Hello guys! This is the last post about the #SecondProject, and we are glad to show you the results... After presenting our projects, everyone had to vote in order to get a feedback. The first question was " Whose presentation did you enjoy most? " We all agree that group 5 made a great job. Their mindmap was clear, and their interactive poster was incredible! In fact, it was the one we liked most. Here you have a picture of it.  Moreover, their explanations were simple, but very interesting. It was noticeable that they enjoyed that topic, and this made their presentation very interactive.  Then, the next question was " Which mindmap did you like best? ", and this were the results...  Some of us are seriously considering changing from English Studies to Graphic Design...  Finally, last question was " Which flashcards, interactive poster and activities did you like best? " From our perspective, group 6 made a really...

PROJECT 2: TEACHING VOCABULARY II

Imagen
As we have said, in our previous post, three group members observed the explanations of our classmates. During this project, we have realized that there has been a great improvement when it comes to exposing the group works. This is because classmates have managed to create connection with the audience, that is, not only to explain their content but also to make listeners collaborate through activities. Most of them carried out these activities with flashcards (people had to join name, definition and photo). In general, it has been an activity with very different topics, but the ones we liked most were: vocabulary related to countries and vocabulary of slangs. The first dealt with a basic vocabulary of the country, from traditional meals or sports to stereotypes. The second developed vocabulary differences between Scottish English, American English and British English. Most of what the classmates explained was unknown and very interesting for anyone who wants to learn the ...

PROJECT 2: TEACHING VOCABULARY I

Imagen
The new project consisted on teaching vocabulary by using flashcards, mind maps and interactive posters . Nuria and Sara were exposing our work to our classmates while Camila, Natalia and Noelia walked around the classmates' expositions.  We decided to speak about space because everyone has a basic knowledge on this topic, but specific vocabulary is usually unknown. Here you can see our final Flashcards and the Mind map, since we did lots of drafts.                                         In fact, we made several designs... we would like you to give us  your opinion, which do you like most? 1.                                                                              ...

SECOND PROJECT - WORKING ON IT!

Imagen
2 days to present the second project... Are you ready? Well, actually, we are not... but we are working really hard! The tasks had been divided in 4: doing the mind map, searching the png format photographs and all the definitions, doing the flash cards, and finally, creating the ineractive poster.  Today, we have completed all the tasks, and the only thing that is left, is to write the script in order to explain the information as clear as possible, and to print the material.  See you next class!
