PROJECT 2: TEACHING VOCABULARY II
As we have said, in our previous post,
three group members observed the explanations of our classmates. During this project,
we have realized that there has been a great improvement when it comes to
exposing the group works. This is because classmates have managed to create
connection with the audience, that is, not only to explain their content but
also to make listeners collaborate through activities. Most of them carried out
these activities with flashcards (people had to join name, definition and
photo).
In general, it has been an activity with
very different topics, but the ones we liked most were: vocabulary related to
countries and vocabulary of slangs.
The first dealt with a basic vocabulary of
the country, from traditional meals or sports to stereotypes.
The second developed vocabulary differences
between Scottish English, American English and British English. Most of what
the classmates explained was unknown and very interesting for anyone who wants
to learn the English language.
We are sure that our classmates and
ourselves will continue developing skills during the following projects.
