THE MULTILINGUAL CLASSROOM (extra credit)
Hello everyone! 馃檵
I'm Sara and today i am going to give you my opinion about the multilingual classrooms. 馃實馃寧
In my honest opinion i do consider that the future
generations will be more multilingual than we are due to the factor that the acquisition of second languages are becoming more important every day and kids nowadays start learning a new language as soon as they are in kidergarden.Because of that I consider it important to promote multilingualism in future classes and today i am going to give you some ideas to aply to your class:
In the first place as Spain is a country that counts with many international citizens I would ask my local students to choose a language and find some similarities and differences with our culture and language, and the same with the international pupils but applying it to their mothertongue language and with Spanish.
I would also like to make my students become penpals with an international student, which means an exchange of e-mails or letters in order to practice and improve their level of the language, and in case of having the opportunity also to do a Tandem, which is also a language exchange but face-to-face; and after some months of communication i would ask them to share what they have learnt about the culture and language of their new friend. I consider this two options as an easy and catchy manner to meet and become friends with people all around the planet while learning at the same time.
