GOODBYE MY LOVER, GOODBYE MY FRIEND

HELLO GUYS!

As the course is on the final strech, this is our last post. We have been telling you a lot of things during this term, such as our projects, the classes, a bit about ourselves, our exams... The Eighth Wonder is really happy to have walked along this path together! But this is not the end... at all, since the Wonders will always be the Wonders. Moreover, since ends are a good moment for recap and reflect, the Eight Wonder, or to be closer, Noelia, Nuria, Sara, Natalia and Camila, have decided to made a final post with an evaluation of this subject.

Well, first of all, as a general overview, the Eighth Wonder have enjoyed a lot this subject. As a fisrt approach, the teachers inspired confidence and passion for their jobs, and that is the main reason why we enjoyed Applied Linguistics that much. The unusual approach of the subject was key, since the classes were dynamic and there was much more practice to apply the theory than theory in the traditional way (which is always welcome). Another fact is that we have been working as a group the whole course, which made us learn a lot from each other, contrast ideas, and the most important thing, we have learned how to work as a team. We would also like to mention that some classes were specially interesting and fun, since they broke the traditional way of teaching (we are sure you will remember those amazing photos of The Wonders putting into practice their senses).

Another great thing that is really useful is that we all have discovered ways of teaching that we even didn't know that existed, what means that our possibilities have expanded quite a lot. This, not only is, but will be useful for us in a near future. Apart from this, we also have discovered great apps to work with! In fact, some of the Wonders are improving their English with some of these new apps...

Concerning the online teaching, we are more than satisfied. The contents were clear and we have not found any bump in the road, thankfully!! Exams were suitable, as well as the tasks, and the blog have been progressing as usual.

Finally, all we have to say is that we have learned and discovered great things that we will certainly take with us. So, thank you for showing us that monotony can be broken, that teaching can be exciting, and that it doesn't matter what you are teaching if your methods are good and appropiate.

We are glad to have showed you our progress during this crazy course... and with this final photo, we say to you all:

                                                                        GOODBYE
 and
   SEE YOU SOON!!!!

(and, of course, stay safe <3 )

  1. What a pleasure to read this feedback!!! I am glad that you are so positive about it all, I believe that the skills developed are very convenient for teaching, but not only for that, they will be beneficial in an academic context, in the business world, if they day comes when you have to 'sell' a project or a product. I will hopefully be seeing some of you next year!! Congratulations on your great work!!!
